This is why once you’ve traveled for the first time all you want to do is leave again.

They call it the travel bug, but really it’s the effort to return to a place where you are surrounded by people who speak the same language as you. Not English or Spanish or Mandarin or Portuguese, but that language where others know what’s like to leave, change, grow, experience, learn then go home again and feel more lost in your hometown than you did in the most foreign place you visited.

This is the hardest part about travelling. And it’s the very reason why we all run away again.

Day 1: The adventure begins by a pick-up from J.K.I.A and drops off to your tonight’s accommodation for a group meeting, dinner and overnight at the Wildebeest Eco Camp

Day : Breakfast served early from 7:00Am. Begin your day with a trip to the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi. Admire the valuable work the non-profit organization is attempting to stabilize the rare Rothschild’s giraffe population. Learn how over 50 of the striking creatures have been released into the wild, and see the young calves currently residing in the 120-acre (49 ha) site. This takes approximately 01hrs and 30 minutes then drive to the David Shedrick Wildlife Orphaned elephants for the 11ockloack Public viewing which takes strictly 01 hour before we start our journey to Lake Nakuru National Park and lunch enroot.

We will have brief stop over’s at the Great Rift Valley view point and Nakuru Town for shopping. We will have an evening game drive in Lake Nakuru National park enroot to the campsite.

Giraffe Centre

It was established in order to protect the endangered species of Rothschild giraffe, which is found only in the grassland of East Africa. Visit a giraffe breeding and conservation program and learn about one of the rarest breeds, the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. The Giraffe Centre is located at Langata, approximately 5 kilometres from the centre of Nairobi, Kenya. It was established in order to protect the endangered Rothschild giraffe, which is found only in the grasslands of East Africa. The main attraction for visitors is feeding giraffes from a raised observation platform. The centre is also home to several warthogs which freely roam the area along with the giraffes.

David Shedrick Elephant Orphanage

The orphanage was started to protect and rescue elephants, it is situated on the outskirts of Nairobi (approximately 45 minutes drive). David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is located on a plot within the Nairobi National Park and the Sanctuary cares for orphaned baby Elephants, tame black and white rhino calves and adults, come see, feed and make friends with the elephants. It is an experience you never want to miss and one that you will never forget

Day 3: Have an early morning start with a early breakfast as we make the best of the park by having an early morning game viewing too.

Lake Nakuru National Park

Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s two Premium Parks, and is a bird lover’s paradise. It is originally protected

as a bird sanctuary, this park hosts over 400 bird species, including 5 globally threatened species, and is an important stop on the African-Eurasian Migratory Flyway. This park was also the first national Rhino sanctuary and hosts one of the world’s highest concentrations of the Black Rhinoceros apart from rhinos you will also find wildlife like, warthogs, baboons and many more. The National Park was established in 1961 and its area is approximately 188km2.

After the morning game drives we depart the park and start the drive to Hells Gate National and Lake Naivasha while we will be having our Lunch enroot.

Hells Gate National Park 

Hell’s Gate National Park is situated to the south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya, North West of Nairobi.  It covers an area of 68km2. The park has both wildlife and bird life and some of the wildlife you will find in this park includes, buffalo, Zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson gazelle, baboons, serval cat, klipspringer antelopes and prolific birdlife features 103 species.

Major attractions and activities include: Aruba Dam, Game viewing, Raptor nesting in cliffs, Spectacular Gorge walk, Hot springs, The Olkaria Geothermal Station, The Mervyn Carnelley, Raptor Hide, Fischer’s Tower, Tourist circuits, nature trails and picnic site, Hiking, Camping, Bird watching, Wildlife viewing, Rock climbing, and Cycling.

Day 4: Breakfast will be served early as we have a long day ahead from 06:Am and depart the campsite by 07:00Am as we drive towards Tsavo East National Park passing through Nairobi City.

Tsavo East national park is famous for its scenery, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Tsavo East is also renowned for its large numbers of elephants and the famous man eating lions. In the afternoon, another game drives at the park later dinner and overnight at the Public camp site, Tsavo East.

Day 5: Explore Tsavo East

Today we explore Tsavo East on two extensive game runs. Tsavo East National park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya which consists of a semi arid grassland and savannah. It’s considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds, and its popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife that can be seen.  The park is also home to a great birdlife.

Day 6: Drive to Diani South Coast.

Today we do not have a very early start as we have our breakfast from 07:30Am then we depart from 08:00Am and have a drive towards Kenyan Coast where we enjoy the drive and make an observation of the Kenyan Coast slow and way of intriguing life. We will have a city tour around the 3rd Kenyan City Mombasa that is very historical and acted as the gateway to the entire East and Central Africa to the outside World. We will have our lunch at the town of Mombasa before crossing to the South Coast via a ferry to Diani backpackers.

Day 7:  A Planning Day by the Beach.

We have the entire day at leisure at our own disposal and lots of optional activities to partake. You have full day to relax at the beach and enjoy the hotel facilities. Optional excursions will be proposed by our representative. These will include Mombasa city tour, Dhow trip, and visit to historic Malindi, visit villages to observe and learn some of the locals’ lifestyle, culture and traditions.
